Description

Brighten up chilly days with this winter fruit salad recipe, bursting with vibrant colors and flavors. Sweetened naturally with maple syrup and packed with seasonal fruits, this healthy, refreshing dessert is the perfect balance of comfort and vitality.

Ingredients

Scale

For the salad:

  • 2 red apples cored and diced
  • 2 pears cored and diced
  • 4 clementines or mandarins, peeled and separated
  • 3 kiwis peeled and quartered
  • 1 glass of pomegranate seeds
  • Pineapple chunks optional, for a burst of tropical sweetness

For the maple-lemon dressing:

  • 2 tablespoons of maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon of freshly squeezed lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Rinse the apples and pears under cold water.
  2. Dry them, halve, and remove the cores before slicing or dicing them as desired.
  3. Peel the clementines and divide them into segments.
  4. Remove any white pith for a neat presentation.
  5. Peel the kiwis and cut them into slices or cubes.
  6. Halve the pomegranate and gently tap the back with a wooden spoon to release the seeds. Remove any white membrane.
  7. Combine maple syrup and freshly squeezed lemon juice in a small bowl. This dressing adds the perfect balance of sweetness and tanginess.
  8. In a large bowl, combine all the prepared fruits: apples, pears, clementines, kiwis, pineapple, and pomegranate seeds.
  9. Drizzle the maple-lemon dressing over the fruit, then toss gently to ensure every piece is coated.
  10. Divide the fruit salad into individual bowls or serve it in a large dish.
  11. For a finishing touch, sprinkle extra pomegranate seeds or drizzle with a bit more maple syrup.
