Description

A homemade London Fog Latte blends fragrant Earl Grey tea, warm milk, vanilla, and a touch of honey for a soothing drink with floral complexity. It’s creamy, comforting, and simple enough to enjoy anytime you crave a cozy moment.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup hot water
  • 2 Earl Grey tea bags
  • ½ teaspoon culinary-grade dried lavender
  • 2 to 3 teaspoons honey or preferred sweetener
  • ¼ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ cup warm milk

Instructions

Steep the tea

  • Pour the hot water into a heatproof pitcher.

  • Add the tea bags and lavender, give a quick stir, and let steep for about 3 minutes.

  • This extracts the aromatics without turning the tea bitter.

Froth the milk

  • Heat the milk until hot but not boiling.

  • Froth using a milk frother, immersion blender, or even a simple jar shaken vigorously for 20–30 seconds.

Strain and flavor

  • Add honey and vanilla to your mug.

  • Strain the tea mixture over it, removing the tea bags and lavender.

  • Stir to fully dissolve the honey.

Add the milk

  • Slowly pour the frothed milk over the tea, letting the foam sit on top for a creamy finish.

Serve

  • Enjoy immediately. For an aromatic touch, sprinkle a few dried lavender buds over the foam.
