Description
This creamy white bean dip brings together soft white beans, tahini, olive oil, lemon juice and roasted garlic for a smooth, flavourful spread. It’s quick to prepare, naturally nutritious and perfect for serving with vegetables, crackers or warm, freshly toasted bread.
Ingredients
- 2 cups White beans (cooked or canned, drained)
- 2 tablespoons Tahini
- Fresh lemon juice (juice of 1 lemon)
- 5-6 cloves Roasted garlic
- 3 tablespoons Olive oil
- Ground cumin (1/2 teaspoon)
- Paprika or piment d’Espelette (a pinch)
- Fresh basil (a few leaves)
- Salt & freshly ground black pepper
Instructions

Place the drained white beans, tahini, fresh lemon juice, roasted garlic cloves, cumin, salt, black pepper and fresh basil into a mixing bowl or the cup of a hand blender.

Blend the mixture while slowly adding the olive oil in a steady stream.

Keep mixing until the texture is completely velvety, with no visible pieces of bean or garlic.

Scrape down the sides if needed to ensure everything is evenly incorporated.

Spoon the dip into a serving bowl, drizzle a little olive oil over the top and finish with a pinch of piment d’Espelette or paprika for colour and a gentle touch of heat.
