Description

This vanilla buttercream frosting is my go-to for every occasion, soft, silky, and perfectly light yet stable enough for flawless piping. Once you taste it, you’ll never settle for store-bought again!


Ingredients

Scale
  • 150 g unsalted butter
  • 340 g icing sugar
  • 3 to 4 tablespoons milk


Instructions

  1. Place softened butter in a mixing bowl and beat for at least 5 minutes until pale, fluffy, and increased in volume. The longer you beat, the lighter it gets.
  2. Mix in half of the sifted icing sugar and beat for 2 minutes until smooth.
  3. Add the remaining sugar and continue beating for another 2–3 minutes until fully combined.
  4. Pour in vanilla extract and milk gradually until the texture becomes silky and easy to spread.
  5. Spoon into a piping bag and decorate cooled cupcakes, cakes, or even holiday bûches.
