Description

The classic Quiche Lorraine is a simple savory tart with a flaky pastry crust and creamy filling, enriched with bacon and melted cheese.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 sheet of puff pastry
  • 150 g turkey or chicken bacon (halal)
  • 3 eggs
  • 200 ml liquid cream
  • 200 g grated cheese
  • Salt & black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 200 °C (about 390 °F).
  2. Unroll the puff pastry and prick it (with a fork) over the base. Line (or “fonce”) a deep tart pan with it.
  3. In a skillet without added fat, cook the bacon for 4 to 6 minutes until crispy. Drain on paper towel.
  4. In a bowl, beat together the eggs, cream, salt, and pepper.
  5. Stir in the grated cheese and the cooked bacon.
  6. Pour the mixture into the pastry‐lined tart.
  7. Bake in the oven for 30 to 40 minutes until the top is nicely golden.
