Description

This traditional Moroccan amlou recipe combines roasted almonds, honey, and argan oil into a rich, naturally sweet spread.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 250 g roasted almonds (with skin)
  • 80 ml argan oil
  • 80 ml honey
  • 1 pinch of salt


Instructions

  • Roast the almonds with their skins in a preheated oven at 150°C for 10–15 minutes.

Blender Version

  1. Grind the roasted almonds in a food processor until finely ground.
  2. Gradually add the oil to the ground almonds and blend until smooth.
  3. Slowly add the honey and blend until the mixture is smooth.
  4. Season with a pinch of salt.

Thermomix Version

  1. Place the roasted almonds in the Thermomix bowl.
  2. Blend 30 seconds / speed 10, then scrape down the sides.
  3. Repeat until a smooth almond paste forms.
  4. Set to speed 4 and add the argan oil through the lid opening.
  5. Scrape down the sides.
  6. Set again to speed 4 and add the honey through the lid opening.
  7. Add a pinch of salt.
