Description
This traditional Moroccan amlou recipe combines roasted almonds, honey, and argan oil into a rich, naturally sweet spread.
Ingredients
Scale
- 250 g roasted almonds (with skin)
- 80 ml argan oil
- 80 ml honey
- 1 pinch of salt
Instructions
- Roast the almonds with their skins in a preheated oven at 150°C for 10–15 minutes.
Blender Version
- Grind the roasted almonds in a food processor until finely ground.
- Gradually add the oil to the ground almonds and blend until smooth.
- Slowly add the honey and blend until the mixture is smooth.
- Season with a pinch of salt.
Thermomix Version
- Place the roasted almonds in the Thermomix bowl.
- Blend 30 seconds / speed 10, then scrape down the sides.
- Repeat until a smooth almond paste forms.
- Set to speed 4 and add the argan oil through the lid opening.
- Scrape down the sides.
- Set again to speed 4 and add the honey through the lid opening.
- Add a pinch of salt.
