Description

This waffle recipe proves that simple ingredients can create pure joy. Light, crispy, and endlessly customisable, these waffles bring a touch of Parisian sweetness to your home, whether for breakfast, brunch, or an indulgent family snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 250 g (2 cups) all-purpose flour
  • 1 packet baking powder (10 g / 2 tsp)
  • 35 g (3 tbsp) sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 500 ml (2 cups) milk
  • 60 g (¼ cup) melted butter
  • 1 pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and sugar.
  2. Beat the eggs lightly and incorporate them into the dry mixture. Whisk until it starts to form a smooth batter.
  3. Slowly add the milk while whisking to avoid lumps and create a silky consistency.
  4. Stir in the melted butter and a pinch of salt, mixing until fully combined.
  5. Cover and refrigerate the batter for 30 minutes, this step makes the texture lighter and less runny.
  6. Preheat your waffle maker, pour a ladle of batter onto the plates, and cook for 4-5 minutes, until golden and crisp.
  7. Serve immediately with your favourite toppings, from homemade jam to melted chocolate or caramel sauce.
