After holiday feasts, this homemade apple-cranberry lemon-ginger drink is light, hydrating, and refreshing. It’s quick to make, naturally fruity, and easy to adjust for sweetness, ideal for getting back into a balanced routine the day after.
Ingredients

- cups filtered water
- 4 cm fresh ginger (peeled and chopped)
- 2 lemons (freshly squeezed)
- 2 medium apples (sliced with the skin on)
- 1 cup cranberries (fresh or frozen)
- 1/4 cup honey (or to taste)
Garnish:
- apple (thin slices)
- lemon (slices)
- cranberries (whole, fresh)
- ice cubes
Instructions
- In a saucepan over medium heat, add the water and bring to a boil.
- Once boiling, add the chopped ginger, sliced apples, and cranberries; boil for about 2–3 minutes, then reduce the heat and simmer for 5 more minutes.
- Remove from the heat, cover the saucepan with a lid, and let the mixture cool completely.
- Once cooled, add the freshly squeezed lemon juice and honey; stir until smooth.
- Pour the cooled mixture into a pitcher, then add the apple slices, lemon slices, and whole cranberries.
- Cover the pitcher with plastic wrap and refrigerate until ready to serve.
- To serve, add crushed ice to each glass, pour the detox drink until the glass is 3/4 full, and garnish with fruit to taste.
