Ingredients

Scale
  • 600 g ground meat (beef)
  • 2 eggs
  • ½ glass breadcrumbs (1 glass = 240 ml)
  • ½ onion (chopped)
  • 1 clove garlic (crushed)
  • ½ bunch parsley (chopped)
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • Salt
  • Black pepper

Topping:

  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon mustard


Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, place the ground meat.
  2. Add all the ingredients listed in the first section.
  3. Mix well until everything is fully combined.
  4. Line a loaf pan with aluminum foil (it should be wide enough to cover the entire loaf).
  5. Shape the meat mixture into a large log and place it in the loaf pan.
  6. Spread the ketchup and mustard mixture evenly on top.
  7. Cover the meatloaf completely with foil.
  8. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for at least 40 minutes.
  9. Open the foil and insert a knife into the center—the blade should come out dry.
  10. If not, continue baking uncovered until the top is nicely browned.
  11. Add more ketchup and mustard if needed, then let it caramelize.
  12. Remove from the oven and allow to cool slightly before unmolding.
