This homemade meatloaf is tender, juicy, and full of flavour. Simple to prepare with everyday ingredients, it’s topped with a savory glaze and perfect for family dinners, festive gatherings, or meal prep. A true comfort food classic.

- 600 g ground meat (beef)
- 2 eggs
- ½ glass breadcrumbs (1 glass = 240 ml)
- ½ onion (chopped)
- 1 clove garlic (crushed)
- ½ bunch parsley (chopped)
- 2 tablespoons milk
- Salt
- Black pepper
Topping:
- 2 tablespoons ketchup
- 1 tablespoon mustard
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, place the ground meat.
- Add all the ingredients listed in the first section.
- Mix well until everything is fully combined.
- Line a loaf pan with aluminum foil (it should be wide enough to cover the entire loaf).
- Shape the meat mixture into a large log and place it in the loaf pan.
- Spread the ketchup and mustard mixture evenly on top.
- Cover the meatloaf completely with foil.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for at least 40 minutes.
- Open the foil and insert a knife into the center—the blade should come out dry.
- If not, continue baking uncovered until the top is nicely browned.
- Add more ketchup and mustard if needed, then let it caramelize.
- Remove from the oven and allow to cool slightly before unmolding.
