Ingredients
- Trifle sponge or sponge cake
- Fruits of your choice
- Fruit jelly : 1 packet of fruit jelly powder mixed with 400 ml of water
- Thick custard : Combine 150 ml milk, 2 egg yolks, 45 g sugar, and 1 vanilla pod for a rich, creamy custard.
- Whipped cream : Beat 150 ml cold heavy cream with 2 tablespoons of sugar until soft peaks form.
Instructions
-
In a large glass bowl or individual dessert cups, add a layer of sponge or biscuits to cover the bottom.
-
Slice your strawberries or raspberries and spread them evenly over the sponge base.
-
Prepare the fruit jelly as directed on the package. Let it cool slightly before it sets, then pour gently over the fruit. Chill until firm.
-
Whisk egg yolks and sugar until pale and creamy. Split the vanilla pod, infuse it in warm milk, then slowly pour the milk over the egg mixture while whisking constantly. Return to the pan and cook on low heat, stirring until it coats the spoon. Let cool slightly.
-
Once the jelly has set, spoon the custard on top, smooth it out, and chill again.
-
Beat cold cream with sugar until thick and fluffy. Pipe or spoon over the top of the trifle.
-
Decorate with fresh fruit, crushed pistachios, or toasted almonds. Chill until ready to serve for a perfectly layered, creamy dessert.
